Book of Pooh: The Wishing Tree Summary Found!

It's not much, but I found a summary of the Book of Pooh episode, "The Wishing Tree" while scavenging the internet for more Pooh shows. It's a fairly basic recap of the episode, touching on the main events of the story and even listing technical specifications and the credits for the episode.

"One in this children's series based on the classic stories of Winnie the Pooh. In this episode, everyone is getting ready for Christmas. Kanga sings a song to baby Roo about the Wishing Tree, and Roo decides to go in search of the tree. He enlists the help of Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet. The four march deep into the woods, daydreaming about what they will wish for when they find the tree. Suddenly, they find the tree and start wishing -- but nothing happens. Roo remembers that one's heart has to be "in the right place" for the tree to work, and suddenly the group realizes that it is lost. Meanwhile, everyone gathered at Rabbit's house notices that Roo, Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger are missing. Kanga realizes that Roo must have decided to look for the Wishing Tree, and she leads a search to find him. In the end, Roo learns some important lessons. This program is closed-captioned. It turns out that the Paley Center for Media holds a copy of this episode (and two previously found Welcome to Pooh Corner episodes). Unfortunately it seems as though the episode cannot be viewed by a regular audience, instead limiting access to college students and professors. I tried registering on one of their sites but found I needed a student ID to complete the registration process. Fortunately, as I am starting college soon, I might be able to gain whatever is necessary to access the site and ultimately the episode, though I highly doubt I'll be able to obtain a copy to publicly share. Still, any additional information about the episode's original English version would be immensely useful.

I do have the German version of the episode which I unfortunately cannot access now due to the condition of the computer it's stored on, but if I'm able to regain that and somehow arrange a screening of the English episode at Paley where I can take notes on the dialogue, I might be able to make a recreation of the English version by adding subtitles to the German copy.

Found Book of Pooh Episodes

A complete list of all the Book of Pooh episodes that have been tracked down, not including foreign dubs of the show. This list will be updated as new episodes are found.

Note: Season 1 originally aired without recaps accompanying the episodes, instead using the extended version of "Goodbye For Now" to fill in the time (which can be found on home video releases of the show). When Season 2 started airing in July 2001, recaps were added to the series.

Additionally, the last three Season 1 episodes (which were featured in Stories From the Heart) were never aired without recaps in the USA, appearing only in foreign markets such as Germany. It is unknown as of yet if the original versions ever aired in English speaking countries.
